Sailing Team
Beyond our bespoke marine sports, leisure and event logistics services, GAC Pindar is a familiar name on the international race circuit, frequently featuring in the winning line-up at premier sailing events since 2010.
Sailors from Olympic beginnings to the dizzy heights of The Ocean Race and beyond have proudly worn the Arctic Tern logo, helping to spread the word of the good work our Operations Team do on a daily basis, providing logistics services to the global sailing and events community.
Predominantly, our race winning sailing team has been skippered by the six-time Match Racing World Champion Ian Williams featuring in the World Match Racing Tour, the Extreme Sailing Series and the M32 Worlds. In 2017, Ian wore the coveted Crimson Blazer for the third time having won the 53rd Congressional Cup.
In 2014, GAC Pindar ambassador and quadriplegic sailor Hilary Lister set a new trans-ocean record by becoming the first paralysed woman to complete the 850 NM sea voyage from Mumbai in India to Muscat, Oman. GAC Pindar remains committed to global efforts to reinstate sailing into the Paralympics.
Today, sailors continue to fly the GAC Pindar flag as we continue to drive momentum forward, committed to advancing equal opportunities for women in elite performance sailing.
